Copresco has garnered more accolades for exceptional quality, this time from the prestigious International Association of Printing House Craftsmen (IAPHC).
In competition with printers around the globe, Copresco was honored with a gold award for a four?color family memoir and a bronze award for a full-color product catalog.
More than
2,250 entries were judged in the International Gallery of Superb Printing,
according to Kevin Keane, chief executive officer of the
Association.
“The International Gallery has become
one of the premier printing events in the world. Each entry must pass three
grueling rounds of evaluations by some 40 international
judges.”
“This recognition for quality
craftsmanship in a highly competitive, international environment is extremely
gratifying,” says Copresco president and CEO Steve Johnson.
The
Craftsmen’s movement goes back to the middle of the l1th Century.
“Even though we are a high–tech digital
printer, we maintain strong ties to the personal craftsmanship aspects of all
the work we do for our customers. Exceptional craftsmanship is a
long–standing Copresco trademark,” Steve adds.
The IAPHC awards culminate another year of achievement at
Copresco as we celebrated our 20th year of digital printing service.
We started 2007 by restating our commitment to serve as the national leader in digital technology and printing on–demand. Here are other highlights of the year.
Copresco
continues to enhance our PDF workflow systems and simplify the preparation of
PDF print files for our customers.
We are now offering
you multiple ways to upload your print–ready files on line including the
creation of PDFs “on the fly.”
In response to many questions about the PDF preparation process, we published a short technical treatise on “Making PDFs Without Pain” in Overnight Lite.
Expansion
in our bindery was essential to maintain our promise to provide 250,000 copies
the next business day for each customer.
We added speed
and versatility to our bindery by installing a James Burn Alpha Doc automatic
document punching system.
The system is perfect for our
growing volume of wire– and plastic–coil bound books and
manuals.
If you
haven’t talked to Copresco about perfect bound books in awhile,
you’re in for a holiday treat.
We put the finishing
touches on our perfect binding line and can now offer you lower costs on the
adhesive–bound volumes.
Along the way, we won four more Pinnacle
Awards for print quality from the Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana
Association (PII) including a Best of Division Award in competition judged
solely on print quality.
We also shared PII Achievement
in Print Excellence awards with our clients and graphic designers.
In
October, we lit the candles on our birthday cake in celebration of our founding
in 1987.
We’ve had a remarkable run during the past
two decades. Copresco has grown from a company with a one–room office into
a position of national prominence.
Our
success has all been made possible because of your trust and support, and for
that, we are truly thankful.
