Copresco has shared an Achievement in Print Excellence Award with the
Illinois African-American Family Commission (IAAFC) and the graphic designer of
		the digitally-printed, four-color annual report.
 President and CEO Steve
Johnson presented commemorative award plaques from the Printing Industry of
Illinois/Indiana Association to Terry Solomon, IAAFC executive director, Joe
Gray, deputy director of finance, information & administration, and Lynn
Winston, president of Powell Graphics & Communications, Inc.
 Powell
Graphics & Communications was faced with the problem of producing a
short-run annual report that communicates important information with a tight
budget-and a mandatory reporting deadline. The best answer was digital color
printing by Copresco. The result was the award-winning piece that met all of
		the client's project criteria.
IAAFC was established in 2004 to assist
various Illinois state agencies in improving and expanding existing human
services, educational and community development programs for African-Americans.
		.
Each year, the Chicago-based Commission is required to submit a
fiscal year report to the governor of Illinois and members of the Illinois
General Assembly. This report focused on the IAAFC's efforts during the year to
understand families involved in several systems including child welfare and
		criminal justice. .
The 8-1/2" x 11" saddle stitched annual report
designed by Powell Graphics featured a full color bleed photo on the four-page
separate cover. The 24-page body was designed with full bleeds and four-color
on each page. Full tint and blend effects were also used on the cover and
throughout the inside pages of the report. .
 Strict quality
requirements for hairline registration on the fold and no cracking created a
digital challenge, but added to the overall appeal of the award-winning piece.
		.
The AIPX program encourages excellence in print communications and
recognizes firms that demonstrate the highest quality standards of the printing
		industry. .
Since the competitive program began in 2003, Copresco has
won nine achievement awards, including four Best of Category Pinnacle awards.
		.
Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications,
books and manuals for clients in the general business, printing trade,
technical and institutional fields. The firm is headquartered in Carol Stream,
		Illinois. .

Copresco received the AIPX recognition from the Printing Industry of
