For children, and adults too...

Give The Gift of The Printed Word for Christmas

This Christmas, eschew the temptation to give tablets, ebooks, game consoles, smartphones or gift cards to the children in your life.

Instead give the gift that stimulates the senses with not only sight, but touch, smell, and yes, taste (see photo below.)

For children of all ages (and adults as well) consider picture books or coloring books.

Copresco President Steve Johnson’s great-grandson Kolsen Lee tastes his choo-choo train book before unwrapping it.

Coffee table books are really just picture books for adults.

Board games with pieces, cards, dice, and fake money will draw family and friends together instead of moving them into separate corners of the house. Jigsaw puzzles will do the same.

Want something out of the ordinary? Give an origami starter kit to introduce someone to the Japanese art of paper folding. Put those fidgety little fingers to work!

Fit the gift to the recipient. Don’t give War and Peace to a comic book reader, or vice versa.

Award Winner

Copresco prints books for children and adults alike.

We garnered Awards of Excellence in both the Juvenile Books and Digital Books categories for author and illustrator Dmitry Boardman’s debut title Beautiful Nonsense.

Order his lavishly illustrated book at beautifulnonsensebook.org.

Letters To Santa

Santa Claus doesn’t have an email address, so you’ll have to write an ol’ fashioned letter. According to the U.S. Postal Service, his address is:

Santa Claus
123 Elf Road
North Pole 88888

Canada Post has different ideas. Their address is:

Santa Claus
North Pole
H0H 0H0
Canada

No stamp is required in Canada, since they claim Santa as a citizen. You’ll need an international stamp when mailing from the USA.

Yes Virginia

This year, and every year, we invite you to re-read the timeless classic editorial from the September 21, 1897 issue of the New York Sun.

At copresco.com/yesvirg.htm it is the oldest page on Copresco’s website. Not many internet sites can boast a page that dates back to 1897!

Tracking Santa

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is celebrating its 70th year this year. Created during the cold war, this joint US-Canada military program was established to detect Soviet attacks over the North Pole.

While it routinely monitors Russian operations, the only invader it has ever detected is Santa Claus, once each year on Christmas Eve.

NORAD will be happy to share Santa’s progress with you on December 24. Visit them at noradsanta.org or call them at (877) HI-NORAD.

Holiday Hours

The elves at Copresco work hard all year ‘round, so we’re giving them a few extra days off.

Copresco will be closed December 24, 25, 26, and January 1. We will be open for any last-minute year-end printing on December 31. We’ll be back at work January 2.

Happy Holidays one and all!
