In another move to
speed up the delivery of your jobs, Copresco has installed a Fenimore-Vijuk 920
Sidewinder saddle binding system.
“Until now,
we’ve had limited in-house saddle stitching capabilities and have relied
on trusted suppliers to handle your larger production runs. The new Vijuk
system is a speedster that gives us more flexibility and significantly
increased capacity,” says Copresco president Steve Johnson.
“We now have a system that combines the power of digital printing with high-end finishing performance. For large production runs, we frequently begin binding operations while the books are being printed. Without the need to move jobs in and out of the plant for finishing, we’ll be able to meet tighter deadlines and handle last minute customer changes more efficiently,” Steve added.

Saddle stitching

and catalogs. The 920 Sidewinder collates, stitches, folds and face-trims
booklets ranging in size from 5” x 8”, 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”,
7” x 9” and 7” x 10” to 8-1/2” x 11” and
8-17/64” x 11-11/16” (A-4 size).
A variety of
paper stocks in various text and cover weights and colors are available. In a
