Copresco has a
reputation for fast turnaround of your digital jobs that cant be beat. We
know how important it is to deliver what you want, when and where you need it.
We also recognize that often you need the same fast
turnaround on cost estimates, and frankly we havent been as diligent as
we should be, says production manager Chuck Legorreta. Our solution
is twofold. First, we added another production coordinator to our staff.
(See April Lite.)
Then, we further integrated cost estimating into
our automated work-flow system to speed up the quoting process, Chuck
explained.
You will see that a quote number is now assigned to each estimate to improve the communication process. Please refer to the quote number when revising your quotes and placing your orders.
Our
production coordinators, Lynn Buck, Jim Heck and Matt Legorreta, are
responsible for overseeing your job from start to finish.
As your direct communications link to
Copresco, they make sure you receive
fast, courteous service and technical support assistance. Their diverse
responsibilities include:
· Cost Estimates. Copresco quotes require a lot
more than a quick check of a price list. Many of your jobs deal with a complex
number of variables.
Your production coordinator can
often make suggestions to streamline your workflow and help you get more bang
for your buck.
These recommendations range from the
selection of file format, paper stock and the use of color to index tab
dividers preparation, binding methods and shipping alternatives.
· Expediting. Your
production coordinator is responsible for bringing all the elements of your job
together, while guiding your job through the shop from the receipt of your
order through final delivery.
This requires close
coordination with all production departments...the review and approval of
digital proofs and binding as well as final customer approvals.
Coordination of packaging and shipping to single or
multiple destinations completes the production cycle.
· Follow-up. After
your job is shipped, your production coordinator approves final billing and
supervises any inventorying of materials for future distribution. Then, your
job is archived for reprinting on-demand.
A Power-Packed Team Consider having your production coordinator
visit your facility to get better acquainted with your business and special
needs. |

We
take pride in our prompt and accurate estimating. If youre not satisfied,
please call Chuck or me directly, says Copresco
president Steve Johnson.
In our
July issue, we will
discuss how you can help us speed up the quoting process further and move your
job through the shop more efficiently.
Meanwhile...when
you need help with publications, books or manuals, call the company that has
the in-depth experience and high technical-level skills to meet your
needs.
Call Copresco.
Adding a
new stitcher may not sound like a big deal...unless its a powerful
workhorse that handles side, corner and saddle stitching jobs up to an inch in
thickness.
The heavy duty
Miruna stitcher complements
our high-speed saddle binding lines and increases our extensive bindery
capabilities, says Steve Johnson.
Copresco offers
complete in-house bindery and finishing services for publications, books and
manuals including saddle binding, perfect and tape binding, plastic comb, wire
and ring binding.
Since the first of this year, we have added a perfect binder, a second Scott index tab die cutting and laminating system and new edge reinforcing equipment.
