Copresco has done it
again!
For the second straight year, we received two
Achievement in Print
Excellence Awards for digital color work produced for our clients.
The honors included a Best of Category Pinnacle award for
a calendar and an Award of Excellence for a yearbook from the
Printing Industry of
Illinois/Indiana Association.
The AIPX awards
recognize the exceptional craftsmanship of the printing industry in our
region, says N. Niall Power, president and CEO of the graphic arts trade
association.
Copresco
president Steve Johnson
accepted the awards at a banquet held in Chicago.
We are totally committed to the pursuit of excellence for all of your digital jobs. We continue to raise the standards for our high-end color work through extensive testing and quality assurance programs and the use of advanced color management techniques, Steve said.
The
medical calendar contains actual examples of ophthalmological cases. The photos
of the eye had to be reproduced with exceptional accuracy and color rendition.
This is the second straight year that Copresco has won a
Pinnacle award for the calendar project.

The
challenge of the yearbook
project was to showcase the creative spirit of a private educational
institution without the look and feel of a standard publication.
Collaboration between the designer and Coprescos
experienced digital color staff resulted in a final product that far surpassed
the quality of conventional yearbooks.
Never one
to keep his opinions to himself, Copresco president Steve Johnson has joined
the editorial staff of American
Printer magazine.
Steve will pen a bimonthly column
called, Johnsons World, that provides a firsthand look at
concerns facing todays graphic arts industry.
We
are pleased to add Steve Johnson to our roster of distinguished
columnists, says Katherine OBrien, editor of the graphic arts
magazine.
We know our readers will enjoy Steve's
real-world perspective. He's not just writing about printinghe is a
printer! And he is a free thinker who asks pointed questions and frequently
challenges mainstream industry thinking.
Steve is a
talented writer, adds Katherine.
He wrote two
well-received features for us on digital printing. One article recently won a
Society for Technical
Communication award. His practical business outlook, coupled with his great
sense of humor, are wonderful additions to our magazine.
Steve has
won several Awards of Publications Excellence for
newsletter editing and marketing materials from Communications Concepts and the
Newsletter On Newsletters and for technical writing from the Society for
Technical Communication.
Steve also serves as an advisory
editor for Digital Impact, a national publication of the Printing Industries of
America.

web solutions.
You can see a
list of the websites we have
created by visiting the Copresco
